Hardgainer lesson 3: Working WITH your body to gain muscle

How to boost anabolism (muscle growth) by working with your body's natural anabolic cycle NOT against it as so many misguided fitness gurus UNknowingly teach

Have you ever heard any of this ‘advice’ for hardgainers…

“eat large breakfasts”

“be sure to eat before you go to bed so your body doesn't have to go into a catabolic mode while you sleep”

“drink a protein shake before you go to bed”

“don't ever let yourself feel hungry or you lose muscle mass”

“eat 6 or more meals a day”

“eat until you are full, then eat some more”

Well here’s more shocking news…

…If you ever followed any of that advice
you sabotage your own muscle building
efforts and your overall health in general!

You worked in dead against your body's muscle building efforts.  And that's why you are still so damn skinny, flabby, devoid of any muscle definition!

Shocking? Insulting?

Maybe, but someone's gotta say it.  And you know I'm going to tell it to you straight.

So if doing all that works dead against your body, for the love of all that is good and holy, how exactly do you work with your body turning it into in anabolic, muscle building machine?

Great questions grasshopper, and I'll tell you the answer…

… but before I do I have a story for you to ponder…

Say you committed some horrible, unforgivable crime…

… you fell in love with a beautiful maiden…

And your sentence? Hard labor building her a castle…

… all by hand…

… all by yourself…

She wont marry you until it's done, thus proving that you truly love for. (Damn this woman's harsh… but you’re in love, so you go along with it.)

That means you've got to..

  1. harvest the stone from the quarry
  2. cut stone up into little bricks
  3. move those bricks to the castle
  4. and assemble the bricks into the castle
  5. then cleanup all the stone rubble so the quarry is clean for the next day's work.

But, one twist..

You can only do one thing a time, and you must do all five things each and everyday.

So lets say you start your day at the quarry.

  1. you harvest the stone.
  2. you cut it up into bricks
  3. you move the bricks to the castle location and build the castle
  4. and then clean up the mess before the next day.

But what if me,  being the evil, conniving, masochist that I am I stop you right in the middle of your stone harvesting and I send you to the castle to go about building.  Problem is there’s no stones to build with.  So nothing gets built. 

And what if I stop you every time you tried to clear the clutter / rumble from the construction? Well, eventually the quarry would be so loaded with rubble you just couldn't work.

And what if every time you started to build the castle I stopped you and I send you back to the quarry to get more stone? 

What would happen?  Would the castle ever did build?  Would you ever get the beautiful (but harsh) maiden?

Nope!  It would never happen.

Well my friend, this is the very same reason you haven't built the body of your dreams.

By constantly eating (harvesting stones) you didn't ever give your body time to build muscle. By hindering your digestion (cutting the stones up into bricks) with all that food you didn't give your body the building blocks you'd needed to build muscle. By not allowing your body to detoxify (cleaning out the rubble), you made it hard for your body’s cells to work properly and build your castle (your dream body).

You see, to build muscle your body must go through a 4 step cycle.

  1. Your body must get the building blocks (food).  You must eat (harvest stone from the quarry).
  2. Your body must break that food down into its smallest parts so the cells can use it (cutting up the stone into bricks).
  3. You must absorb the nutrients and get them to the muscle to be incorporated into muscle growth (building a castle).
  4. you must cleans and detoxify the cells of the debris from digestion and metabolism (clearing the construction area of rubble so you can work)

And your body must complete the cycle in a specific order, sequence, and timing.

You see, your body, my body, everyone's body must complete this four step cycle to be fit and healthy ,lean and muscular.  But here's the deal, there are optimal times for each step in the cycle.  And each step ideally should be completed before the next step.

If you eat, plus exercise in such away that
you optimize this natural cycle you will see
explosive gains in your muscle growth,
health, and energy levels...

You’ll need a lot less sleep.  You'll wake out feeling great (rather than feeling like a truck run you over).  You’ll see dramatic muscle gains from your training.

If you eat and exercise in such away to sabotage or disrupt the cycle...

...you end up toxic with bad body odor,
bad breath, bad skin, gas, bloating, PMS,
chronic fatigue, and low-energy…And one
hell of a frustrating experience trying to
gain weight or muscle...

So repeat after me…

“I will eat and trained in such a way to optimize and maximize my body's natural cycle, forever ignoring and guru advice that tells me to do otherwise…”

“…so I can it enjoy explosive muscle gains, fresh breath and body odor, vibrant energy, and build the castle (body) of my dreams... so I can get the girl/guy…”
